Obituary Paper Choices
Funeral
arrangements can yield many decisions while preparing for the funeral
service. Some of those decisions include a church or chapel funeral?
Cremation or Traditional funeral? There is one unique decision I’d
like to bring to your attention. And that is the importance of choosing
the right paper to print an obituary on. I learned a valuable
lesson when I printed my aunt’s obituary on 20lbs. copy paper. Needless
to say, it was a disaster!
The obituary is a memorial keepsake
that the family usually stores in their archives. To preserve the
obituary from fading, smearing or discoloration it’s important to
choose paper that is properly suited for your print output device. This
will ensure the longevity and preservation of the document.
Obituaries get archived in the same fashion as wedding programs,
invitations and photographs. Families love to show their keepsakes
during the holiday and family gatherings.
We suggest using Hammermill Color Copy
paper for its 98-brightness Photo White™shade. Each sheet is
Acid-free for added archival quality that extends the life of the
document. Color Copy is very sturdy (28 to 32 lbs.) and made
specifically for the color laser printer. It is currently available in
60, 80 and 100 lbs. card stock. In ten or fifteen years you wont be
disappointed.
Benefits:
-
Super bright Photo White for excellent image contrast and color
reproduction
-
Heavier basis weights enable better color registration and provides
a more stable surface for heavier toner applications
-
Ultra smooth finish provides a superior surface for
perfect toner blending and
brilliant color
For inkjet user we suggest Matte
high-resolution coated paper. Normally, this pack of paper is sold in
bundles of a 100 sheets. There is a major difference between regular
inkjet paper and Matte high-resolution paper. Visit there website at:
http://www.jetprintphoto.com to learn more about the
Imaging and Photo paper.
JetPrint Imaging and Photo paper can be purchased locally at Wal-Mart.
The Funeral Program/Obituary is the number
#1 memorial keepsake distributed at funeral services. Funeral attendees
look forward to receiving a copy of the obituary keepsake, so have
plenty available. By following this short guide your memories will be
preserved for many years.
